Objective:

The designing & installation for electrical systems in Singapore requires thorough understanding of the Code of Practices. This 2-day course aims to familiarize participants with the Code of Practice through the interpretation of its clauses. 

Certificate of Attendance (signed by Course Speaker) will be issued to participants   who had attained 75% of the attendance.​

Course Title:   

Design & Installation of Electrical Installation based on Singapore Standard Code of Practice CP5 (SSCP5).

( Qualified for 14 PDUs by Professional Engineers Board )

  • Fundamental requirements for safety in electrical installation
  • Assessment of general characteristic
  • Magnitude of fault current in a three phase supply system
  • Protection against overload
  • Protection against short circuit​
  • Effective current carrying capacity of cables and voltage drop in cable
  • Understanding the effect of electric shock on human beings
  • Protection against electric shock
  • Detailed illustration of “Earthed Equipotential Bonding and ​Automatic Disconnection of Supply”
  • IDMTL relay and its setting, use of template to plot 3/10 characteristic curve for discrimination.​
  • Protection against under voltage
  • Protection against thermal effect
  • Difference between CP5 and CP 88 Part 1 and Part 2​
  • Testing of Electrical Installation
